Responsible for performing monthly financial planning and forecasting function supporting forecast and plan financial data in financial statement format. Performing the general accounting function primarily concerning the accuracy and maintenance of general ledger accounts and the resulting financial statements. Daily reporting of order, shipment, backlog activity used to report key daily, weekly, and monthly metrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Modeling and entering data for monthly/annual financial planning and forecasting. Monitoring daily order and shipment activity, communicating with manufacturing and operating personnel on current operations costs.
2) Accumulating and reporting order, shipment, and backlog activity. Retrieving data from production and order management systems, parsing and grouping data to achieve necessary reports. Analysis and comparison of data to evaluate current and future sales position.
3) Creating and entering journal entries for month end closing of the general ledger. Interaction with other business units, reconciliation of data from production and billings systems, and manual calculations.
4) Monthly reporting of financial results, explanation of variances to plan, forecast, PY results. Review of monthly financial statements, journal vouchers entered, expenses charged to accounts, evaluation of both Plan and forecast assumptions.
5) Coding invoices with general ledger account and submitting requests for set up of new vendors. Review and approval of invoices, submission of SMF forms for approval and review of chart of accounts for appropriate coding.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting; 3-5 years related experience
* Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
* Knowledge/understanding of financial accounting practices within the manufacturing industry
* Effective user of Oracle ERP, Discoverer, Hyperion, Excel.
