Black Labrador Retriever - Large - Young - Male - Dog - Wesley #

Many of you might have read the story of Wesley a few months ago. For those who did not get to read about him, I will tell it again. Wesley was found on a wet, cold winter day in a parking lot. He was laying down just crying and a good samaritan went inside the store and asked why this puppy was crying. The clerk told her he had been out there for a least a day. There was not one person that even bothered to check on him before that moment. The good samaritan took Wesley to the vet and found that he had been hit by a car and he had many broken bones. He had laid there in that parking lot for at least 24 hours in severe pain and unable to walk. The vet also revealed that although Wesley was just a few months old, this was the second time that he had been hit because he had old wounds. Wesley could not walk, run, or play like other puppies his age. It was very sad to see. Wesley has been through several surgeries and lots of physical therapy. His foster mom has put so much time and energy into the entire process to get Wesley to the point he is today. This has finally given him the chance to walk, climb stairs, and just have some fun in life. Wesley is the sweetest dog that you will ever meet. He has the most soulful eyes and a heart of gold. He is like a slice of heaven. All that he has been through and he still adores people. Wesley is wonderful with other dogs. He is less than a year old. He is easygoing. He is medium energy level. Wesley is housetrained and crate trained. He loves attention and affection. He is always willing to give it in return. Wesley is good on a leash. He loves to go for swims and it is great for his legs. Wesley will never walk completely "normal" or be able to run as fast as a "normal" dog, but he can get around and does great. This is a dog that we were unsure if he would ever walk, and now he has a second chance at life. He needs a forever family that is as special as he is. He is loved by everyone that meets him.
