Job Description:
Our client in Shelton, CT is looking for a strong Visual Designer (think product design) for a part-time contract role - roughly 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate will not have an agency background. Must be able to work onsite. This is a corporate-style, product design role - must have experience creating icons, prototypes, flash components, etc. The project is very confidential and top secret until the talent begins work.

Looking for an experienced Sr. Visual Designer to join an exciting team. Individual must have over 5 years + experience using Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash and a portfolio demonstrating a thorough understanding of the importance of design/aesthetics in a successful layout.

Responsibilities will be focused on design: creating icons, animated gifs and possibly flash components which will be sent to developers. Designer will create screens and develop icons that will follow the established look and feel, as well as create documentation of graphic assets and visual design layout.

Qualifications:
+ Expert knowledge of Illustrator, PhotoShop & Flash.
+ Solid skills in graphic design with an eye for detail, clean layout and purposeful color
+ Thorough understanding of design principals and technical knowledge of industry standards, best practices and trends
+ 5+ years experience preferred
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills
